Signs Your Mighty Mule Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• You hear metal grinding or popping when the operator runs. The actuator arm is traveling farther than the gate can move because a welded stop or catch has broken free. The motor keeps running against physical resistance, which burns out the limit switch eventually.
• The gate opens fine but won’t latch closed, or vice versa. A shifted or cracked catch post weld has changed the geometry. On dual-swing FM600 systems, this often shows up as one leaf meeting the other off-center by two or three inches.
